· One drink for every mention of the FCC regulations or the five-minute tape delay.

· One drink for every joke that bombs.

· One drink for every reaction shot of Jack Nicholson in the audience.

· Two drinks if any presenter decides to dispense with the cue cards and ad-lib.

NOMINEES AND AWARDS

· One drink for every nominee that doesn't show up.

· Two drinks for every winner that cries.

· One drink for every award that Lord of the Rings wins.

· Two drinks for every "upset." (what constitutes an upset can be discussed beforehand)

· Two drinks for every acting award won by a non-American.

ACCEPTANCE SPEECHES

· Two drinks for every acceptance speech cut off by the orchestra.

DEAD CELEB MONTAGE

· One drink for every dead celeb you didn't know was dead.

· One drink if Hepburn closes the montage.

· Two if it's the clip from Woman of the Year where she gives the little salute.

· Three drinks if it's Peck or Hope or anyone else closing the montage.

· Chug-a-lug if someone actually dies during the telecast.
