Three on a Match (1932)

IMDB

This too-brief pre-Coder might have been more accurately titled “Two on a Match,” since Bette Davis’s character was barely in the movie.  I would have liked to have seen more of her and know more about her character.  That aside, Joan Blondell, Ann Dvorak and the always-reliable Warren William were all quite good.  I prefer William in his evil bastard roles, but he was fine here too in the rare role of a good guy.
